Did you know that croquet has Irish roots, with references dating back to the 1830s? Experience this historic pastime at Newbridge House, where a legendary croquet tradition continues.

A Champion’s Legacy: Cyril Corbally, a renowned pre-war croquet champion known as one of the “Irish Terrors,” resided at Newbridge. He established the croquet lawn in the 1920s, and the estate became a hub for competitive play.

Beyond our club activities, our lawns also host weekly sessions for Active Age for All Donabate-Portrane, fostering a truly inclusive atmosphere.
