Calling All Animal Enthusiasts! Join Our Vibrant Team at Newbridge House & Farm!

Do you have a passion for Irish history and a soft spot for furry (or feathered) friends? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others?

Newbridge House & Farm is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our small close-knit team!

Responsibilities:

  • Captivate visitors with engaging and informative tours of the historic Newbridge House, weaving tales of its past residents and architectural significance.
  • Transform into a farmhand extraordinaire! Lead birthday party groups on exciting farm adventures, introducing them to our fascinating animal residents. It is so much fun but also a big responsibility!
  • Spark curiosity in young minds! Lead interactive educational tours for school groups, connecting them to Irish history.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and retail support from time to time.
  • Be a team player! Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a memorable and enriching experience for all our visitors.

You’re a Perfect Fit if You:

  • Hail from the Fingal area and possess a deep appreciation for local history.
  • Have a genuine love for animals and a passion for sharing their stories.
  • Are a clear and engaging communicator with a knack for captivating audiences of all ages.
  • Thrive in a rural environment and possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Are a team player who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting involved.
  • Are eager to learn and hit the ground running from day one!

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Animal Handling Experience: Experience handling animals safely and confidently is a plus.
  • First Aid Certification: Possessing basic first aid knowledge would be helpful but not essential.
  • Educational Background in Agriculture: Having a degree or diploma in agriculture or tourism or a related field beneficial, but not a prerequisite. Genuine enthusiasm for animals, and nature is crucial.
  • Storytelling Skills: The ability to weave interesting stories about the farm, its history, and the animals into your tours will really enhance the visitor experience.
